Biography

Reggie is a partner in the firm’s St. Louis office. His practice focuses on internal investigations, corporate compliance, white collar criminal matters and civil trial litigation.

Among his representative matters since joining BCLP, Reggie has conducted multiple internal investigations into alleged improper sales practices and alleged regulatory violations for a Fortune 500 financial services company, has represented a bank employee in a federal mortgage fraud investigation which ended in no charges being filed, and has represented a physician in a federal criminal probe of drug prescribing practices which ended in no charges being filed. Reggie also represents corporate and individual clients in corruption investigations.

From 2002 to 2019, Reggie served in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri, where he investigated and prosecuted corporate embezzlement, Ponzi-type schemes, investment fraud, financial institution fraud, false billing schemes, tax fraud and evasion, identity theft, public corruption, child exploitation, and violent crime. Reggie served as White Collar Chief from 2012 to 2017.

In his most recent role as Executive Assistant U.S. Attorney, Reggie developed and implemented strategies related to the Department of Justice’s Project Safe Neighborhoods and heroin and opioid initiatives in the Eastern District of Missouri. He built and nurtured coalitions within federal, state and local law enforcement agencies to create and execute plans to combat violent crime and reduce opioid abuse and overdoses in St. Louis, MO. He also led the U.S. Attorney’s Office’s Civil Rights program, including supervision, investigation, and prosecution of criminal civil rights matters and serving as the lead counsel on major civil rights prosecutions. 

Reggie’s work as a federal prosecutor has earned him accolades within the U.S. Attorney’s Office, including Trial of the Year in 2016 and 2015, and special achievement awards in 2005 and 2006. In his 17 years at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Reggie garnered significant courtroom experience, including 20 federal criminal trials and numerous appearances before the 8thCircuit U.S. Court of Appeals.

Prior to joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Reggie served as a business and civil litigation associate at another law firm in St. Louis.
