Marie is an Partner in the Corporate Finance group experienced in acting for corporates and multi-nationals on a range of corporate finance transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, joint ventures and project finance, as well as general corporate advisory work.

In 2013 Marie undertook a seven month secondment with the strategic finance team of a multinational insurance corporation, during which time she worked as primary assistant on a major cross-border group reorganisation and led a UK rationalisation project aimed at dissolving  redundant group companies.

  • the founders of leading football agency business, the Stellar Group, on their sale of the group to US-based talent agency ICM Partners;
  • the Lewis Trust Group on its acquisition of the ladies fashion brand, Mint Velvet;
  • the Foschini Group on its acquisitions of ladieswear businesses, Whistles, Damsel in a Dress and Hobbs;
  • Secure Income REIT plc on the acquisition of two substantial portfolios of assets at a total cost of £436 million. The portfolios comprise a leisure portfolio including Manchester Arena, The Brewery at Chiswell Street, EC1 (the largest catered events space in the City of London), 18 freehold pubs and 17 Travelodge hotels, together with a hotels portfolio consisting of a further 59 Travelodge sites;
  • Playtech Plc on several acquisitions, including the acquisition of game maker YoYo Games Limited, and each of its acquisitions in the regulated financials trading sector beginning with the purchase of TradeFX Limited, the holding company behind the forex and CFD broker Markets.com and the group’s subsequent complimentary acquisitions of B2B technology provider, Consolidated Financial Holdings Group, and market maker, Alpha Capital Markets;
  • BGC Partners, on its acquisition of Algomi Limited, a software company that provides technology to bond market participants to improve their workflow and liquidity by data aggregation, pre-trade information analysis, and execution facilitation;
  • Flybe on the recommended cash offer from Connect Airways (the Virgin Atlantic, Stobart Group and Cyrus Capital consortium);
  • BT Group PLC, on the carve out from BT and sale of non-core division, BT Fleet Solutions, and a long term outsourcing arrangement to continue management of BT’s own fleet worth with, Aurelius Group, a pan-European investment group; and
  • Adena Brands on the acquisition of high street retailer Monsoon Accessorize through a pre-pack administration.
