Law360 recently featured BCLP Patent Agent Mojdeh Farsi and Partners George Chen and Cory Smith for authoring an article looking at the newly narrowed scope of patent-eligible machine learning applications. Stemming from the result of the declined reconsideration to hear its decision in Recentive Analytics, Inc. v. Fox Corp. by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the article dives into patents and famed Section 101 "Alice" framework, which the U.S. Supreme Court set up in 2012 to look at patent-eligible claims.

The article provides a suggestive look at the impact, and more importantly, an idea on how one can draft patent applications with fellow lawyers and engineers to meet patent-eligibility requirements and think about the new standard of scope.
