Partner Alexis Early was quoted in and Associated Press, CNNNPR and Fox News about how the Supreme Court overturned the centerpiece of President Donald Trump's tariff plans, ruling the federal government illegally collected over $133 billion in taxes from American businesses. Many companies are waiting to be refunded for the tariffs.

Alexis said that just because the process to administer the refunds is difficult, “doesn’t mean the government has the right to hold on to fees that were collected unlawfully.” She also told CNN, "it is an open question whether Customs and Border Protection will follow historical precedent or existing processes, or whether a new process will be needed to address the sheer scope and volume of the IEEPA tariffs."

She noted that there may be years of ongoing litigation in multiple jurisdictions.
