BCLP expands London Finance Transactions practice with strategic lateral hire
Jul 27, 2026BCLP announced today that Jeremie Bismuth has joined the London office as a partner in the Corporate & Finance Transactions Department, with a focus on structured finance and securitization.
Qualified as both an English and French solicitor, Jeremie’s multijurisdictional practice centers on providing counsel to financial institutions, arrangers, originators and development finance organizations on residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS), non-performing loan securitizations, asset-backed financings, sukuk programs and sovereign-linked finance transactions. He advises both arrangers and originators on various domestic and cross-border transactions across a range of asset classes, primarily in the UK and France as well as throughout northern, sub-Saharan and western Africa, particularly Morocco, Cote d’Ivoire and Senegal.
“I was drawn to BCLP because of its ambitious growth strategy and believe my practice will integrate seamlessly alongside the finance, infrastructure and energy sector teams,” Jeremie said. “The firm’s established presence in Africa will allow me to continue to pursue opportunities in the region, particularly cross-border and emerging-market transactions.”
Jeremie’s addition enhances BCLP’s ability to advise on complex strategic transactions and expands the firm’s experience across a broader spectrum of asset classes, including structured debt, an area of strategic focus for the firm.
“Jeremie’s arrival marks an important milestone in our strategy to strengthen our securitization and structured finance capabilities,” said Carol Osborne, BCLP Partner and Global Department Leader for Corporate & Finance Transactions. “Widely respected in the market, he combines exceptional technical knowledge with a highly commercial approach to client service. His arrival enhances our ability to meet growing client demand for structured products in London and further strengthens our broader finance platform.”
