BCLP lawyer presents at annual conference of International Insolvency Institute

BCLP Counsel Jarret Hitchings was a featured speaker at the 22nd Annual Conference of the International Insolvency Institute, held Sept. 6-8 in Toronto.

Jarret spoke on the panel “A Rapid-Fire Update and Analysis of Recent Amendments to Insolvency” in around the world, including the United States. The panel specifically addressed recent legislative updates to the US insolvency scheme and the impact of the Bankruptcy Threshold Adjustment and Technical Corrections Act. Jarret also discussed other recent judicial updates at both the federal and state levels, all arising in the face of a global economic downturn.

A frequent speaker and author on industry topics, Jarret’s practice focuses on distressed asset litigation, including federal bankruptcy and state court liquidation proceedings. He is active in matters across the county and internationally on behalf of debtors, creditors, fiduciaries, and foreign representatives in the United States.
