BCLP Partner Roman Khodykin will speak at the Institute of Transnational Arbitration (ITA) Annual Workshop, set for June 15-16 in Austin.

Roman will participate in the panel “Examination of Witnesses (Fact and Expert).” The session will offer a close look at direct, cross and re-examination of fact and expert witnesses: the purpose of each, how to approach cross examination from start to finish, what is different about cross examining an expert and how to approach it, to re-exam or not to re-exam.

Roman focuses his practice in arbitration. He has extensive experience in national and cross-border matters, with a particular emphasis on shareholder and energy disputes. He holds a Ph.D. in Conflict of Laws. Roman co-authored a leading text on evidence, A Guide to the IBA Rules on the Taking of Evidence in International Arbitration (Oxford University Press, 2019).

“This is a not-to-be-missed workshop for anyone with an interest in international arbitration”, said David Winn (director, The Institute for Transnational Arbitration of the Center for American and International Law). “It is considered the best U.S. conference to interact directly with leading arbitrators, practitioners, and academics from around the world.”
