May 27, 2025Summary
The event will consist of two panels to be hosted by Osborne Clarke on June 5 between 11:00-12:30, with BCLP and Ankura acting as co-hosts. The first panel will focus specifically on Kazakhstan, whilst the second panel will cover the rest of Central Asia and will be followed by a Q&A and a traditional Central Asian networking lunch.
Over recent years, a number of high-profile disputes involving parties from Central Asian states have been litigated or arbitrated in London. These panels will examine some of these prominent cases and identify the latest trends and key issues which have arisen.
Roman will be moderating the second panel which will consist of speakers representing Albertson Solicitors (Keymir Orazov); Osborne Clarke (Galina Borshevskaya), Ankura (Richard Indge); Tukulov & Kassilgov Litigation (Bakhyt Tukulov) and Essex Court Chambers (Paul Key KC).
Among other regions, Roman is highly regarded for his extensive experience of acting in disputes involving parties from Central Asia and also holds higher rights of audience in the AIFC Court in Kazakhstan, where he represented Kazakhstani investors in the oil & gas sector in the biggest case in terms of value before the AIFC Court to date.
