BCLP Appointed to BT’s Newly Consolidated Legal Panel
Apr 22, 2020The global law firm BCLP has been appointed to FTSE 100 BT Group PLC’s (BT) new legal panel following a competitive procurement exercise.
BT recently took the decision to consolidate from over 40 firms down to just 15 to enable deeper and stronger relationships with a core set of panel firms. The scope of the panel exercise included all UK legal matters for external advice as well as international matters originating from BT’s head office.
BCLP’s bid was led by Relationship Partner and Global Co-Leader of Technology Sector Marcus Pearl, supported by Head of Antitrust & Competition Andrew Hockley.
Pearl commented: “We are delighted to have been retained on BT’s new legal panel and look forward to continuing to partner with BT in helping to achieve its strategic objectives.”
The other firms appointed to BT’s new legal panel are: Addleshaw Goddard; Allen & Overy; Bird & Bird; CMS; Covington & Burling; DAC Beachcroft; DWF; Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer; Lewis Silkin; Osborne Clarke; Shepherd and Wedderburn; Simmons & Simmons; TLT; and Winckworth Sherwood.
BCLP has recently advised BT on a number of key mandates, such as the sale and carve out of BT Fleet to private equity firm Aurelius Capital, including a long-term, high-value strategic outsourcing arrangement.
