Driving Impact: New Pro Bono Collaboration with Enterprise Mobility

BCLP has launched a new pro bono partnership with longtime client Enterprise Mobility and Legal Services of Eastern Missouri (LSEM) to provide critical legal support to underserved communities across eastern Missouri. This collaboration will focus on two key areas identified through conversations with LSEM and a poll of Enterprise Mobility’s legal team:

• Guardianship Cases: Assisting families with uncontested guardianship matters, which culminate in probate court hearings. These cases typically require 20 to 30 hours of legal services and help ensure vulnerable individuals receive proper care and representation.
• Microenterprise Unit Support: Helping small businesses and nonprofits with organizational formation, intellectual property issues and basic tax issues, including assistance with 501(c)(3) applications.

The partnership officially kicked off in November with a lunch and CLE session at Enterprise Mobility’s campus. The event drew strong participation, including six BCLP attorneys, four representatives from LSEM and approximately 20 Enterprise attorneys.

Mike Andrew, Enterprise Mobility’s Chief Legal and Legislative Officer, opened the program, followed by an overview of BCLP’s pro bono partnerships and details on the new initiative. LSEM provided insights into the Microenterprise Unit and guardianship cases before leading a CLE on guardianship law.

Chicago office Managing Partner Erin Brooks attended to speak at the kick-off event and to lend her support. While resident in St. Louis, Erin helped establish a similar pro bono partnership with client Wells Fargo’s legal department; upon moving to Chicago in March 2023, she expanded the successful program to include Wells Fargo’s Chicago legal team.

This new partnership with Enterprise Mobility will be led by St. Louis Partner Lindsay Aggarwal and Associate Brittainy Cavender, and builds on the success of our long-standing collaboration with client Citigroup and the more recent partnership with Wells Fargo.
