Biography
Ellen Bonacorsi has practiced exclusively in the area of civil litigation since 1979. She has trial experience in federal and state courts, as well as in arbitral forums. Her litigation practice has covered a broad range of practice areas, including general commercial cases, product liability actions, securities cases, and employment actions. Ms. Bonacorsi currently practices primarily in the area of complex commercial litigation. She has been counsel for corporate clients in the defense of national and state class actions; has served as counsel for defendants in shareholder derivative actions; was counsel in a commercial arbitration for former shareholders on post-merger claims that resulted in a multi-million dollar award; and has been involved in internal corporate investigations on behalf of businesses and independent and special committees to boards of directors.
Ms. Bonacorsi has spoken on civil practice and alternative dispute resolution issues in local CLE-accredited seminars. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Missouri Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers and the Defense Research Institute. Prior to joining the firm, she was a partner with another law firm in St. Louis.
