International law firm BCLP announced today the addition of Partner Sana Suhail, who joins the firm’s Litigation & Investigations team within its Class Action & Mass Torts practice. Sana will be based in the firm’s New York office.

Sana brings with her three highly respected lawyers—Dean Jarmel, Raphael Briones, and Amneet Mand— who will join BCLP as counsel. This marks the first group to join the Class Action & Mass Torts Practice Group since the opening of BCLP’s Seattle office in 2023, an office established to support the continued growth of the firm’s class action, mass torts, and commercial litigation capabilities.

Sana is a seasoned litigator with deep experience across complex civil litigation, including product liability, construction law, and general liability. At her previous firm, she served as Vice Chair of the Products Liability Practice and was a longstanding leader in the Construction and General Liability Practice Groups. She has successfully represented general contractors, owners, and design professionals through every phase of litigation, from pre-dispute counseling to appeals, and is frequently engaged to provide strategic guidance on risk management and contract negotiation.

Her experience includes leading high-stakes matters with complex fact patterns and significant exposure. In a multimillion-dollar property damage case involving ground settlement from construction activity, she represented a contractor in a multi-defendant dispute that resolved for a high seven-figure amount—with her client as the only party that did not contribute to the settlement. In another matter, following her oral argument before the First Department Appellate Court, the court upheld the dismissal of all claims against her client and denied a co-defendant’s motion for indemnity and contribution, further demonstrating her effectiveness in navigating layered disputes and driving strong outcomes.

“We are thrilled to welcome Sana—along with Dean, Raphael, and Amneet—to BCLP,” said Chris Schmidt, U.S. Practice Group Leader – Class Action. “She brings not only a stellar litigation record but also a clear vision for client service and practice growth. The added strength of Dean, Raphael, and Amneet joining with her makes this an extraordinary moment for our team, especially as we continue to build on the momentum generated by our Seattle expansion.”

“I am excited to join BCLP and to be surrounded by a team that values excellence, collaboration, and innovation in litigation,” said Sana. “This is a great platform to continue advocating for clients in high-stakes disputes and to work alongside colleagues who share a passion for problem-solving and client partnership.”  The team joining alongside her brings a range of complementary experience across high-stakes litigation:

Dean Jarmel brings more than three decades of experience in tort and commercial litigation, having acted as national defense counsel for major manufacturers in “bet the company” product liability cases. He has litigated hundreds of complex matters, including class actions, personal injury, and third-party reimbursement suits, and also served as lead international counsel for a global consumer products company during a five-year tenure in London.

Raphael Briones is a commercial and general liability litigator with additional experience in corporate and securities law. Known for his strategic mindset and emotionally intelligent approach, Raphael has delivered meaningful results for clients across product laibility, real estate, insurance, and construction disputes and remains actively engaged with the broader legal and local communities. Amneet Mand is a versatile civil and criminal litigator with a strong background in appellate strategy and national products liability defense. A former public defender and medical malpractice litigator, Amneet brings trial skill, analytical precision, and a deep understanding of multijurisdictional risk to the firm’s litigation bench.

The addition marks a significant step in the firm’s ability to meet growing client demand in the class action and mass tort litigation landscape.

All four lawyers join BCLP from Lewis Brisbois.
