Missouri Lawyers Media honors two from BCLP with Up & Coming Awards 2025

BCLP proudly celebrates Joe Babitz and Kathryn Scott, who have been named 2025 Up & Coming honorees by Missouri Lawyers Media. This prestigious recognition highlights outstanding legal professionals under 40 or within their first 10 years of practice who demonstrate excellence, leadership, and commitment to their communities.

Joe Babitz, an associate in the firm’s Corporate and Finance Transactions department, is known for his commercial approach to complex deal structuring and his ability to craft innovative solutions tailored to client needs. Joe’s experience spans high-profile transactions across diverse industries, including advising on a $230 million cross-border bond offering for Priority 1 X LLC, which earned a 2025 Industrials Deal of the Year (Over $100MM) award from The M&A Advisor. His strong foundation in both finance and law equips him to navigate sophisticated corporate transactions with precision. 

Kathryn Scott, a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment Practice Group, focuses her practice on employer-side labor and employment law. She advises clients on compliance, HR training, and best practices, and represents businesses in disputes involving wage and hour violations, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Kathryn has also been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for Missouri and Kansas from 2023 to 2025, and was selected as a Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Pathfinder in 2024.
