Partner Justin Kingsolver named to Best LGBTQ+ Lawyers Under 40 list

BCLP is excited to share that partner Justin Kingsolver was named to the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association’s 2026 Best LGBTQ+ lawyers under 40 list. The list recognizes legal professionals under 40 who have distinguished themselves in their field and have demonstrated a profound commitment to LGBTQ+ equality. 

Justin is a partner in the firm’s Litigation and Investigations and Antitrust and Competition Practice Groups, where he litigates complex commercial and antitrust cases, and is Vice Chair of Lambda Legal’s National Leadership Council. Justin has longstanding involvement in matters relating to LGBTQ+ civil rights, as well as voting rights litigation, asylum, and criminal justice matters. His recent work includes a key role in litigation challenging the National Institutes of Health’s termination of hundreds of millions of dollars in research grants studying LGBTQ+ health, where the Lambda-led team secured an injunction halting the discriminatory grant terminations. He also represented amici supporting the challengers to Iowa’s “Don’t Say Gay” and “Book Ban” omnibus law, where the Eighth Circuit adopted arguments that his team advanced on behalf of leading First Amendment scholars regarding the government speech doctrine in the public education context. Justin has also secured asylum for LGBTQ+ asylum-seekers from Senegal, Russia, and Venezuela.
