Biography

Justin Kingsolver is a partner in the firm’s Litigation and Investigations and Antitrust and Competition Practice Groups.

Justin’s practice focuses on complex, high-stakes commercial and class action litigation, with particular depth in antitrust and healthcare matters. He has represented many of the country’s most recognized companies and achieved highly favorable results in business-critical disputes before federal and state courts and arbitration panels nationwide. He has repeatedly been recognized as One to Watch in Best Lawyers in America 2025 in Commercial Litigation, Health Care Law, and Antitrust Litigation.

Justin brings a unique perspective as a recovery-oriented litigator whose practice spans both sides of the “v.” Tackling affirmative cases against suppliers or other business partners, he helps his clients turn their legal departments into profit centers through a combination of affirmative cases, settlement claims, and opt-out litigation.

As Vice Chair of Lambda Legal’s National Leadership Council, Justin also maintains a deep commitment to pro bono service, with longstanding involvement in matters relating to LGBT civil rights, as well as voting rights litigation, asylum, and criminal justice matters. His recent work includes a key role in litigation challenging Iowa’s “Don’t Say Gay” and “Book Ban” omnibus bill, where the Eighth Circuit adopted arguments that he advanced in an amicus brief submitted on behalf of leading First Amendment scholars regarding the government speech doctrine in the public education context. Justin has also secured asylum for LGBTQ+ asylum-seekers from Senegal, Russia, and Venezuela.

Before entering private practice, Justin worked in national politics and the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. He earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, where he chaired the LGBTQ affinity group and was a national antitrust moot court finalist, and his undergraduate degrees from Indiana University, where he was Student Body President and actively engaged in state and federal politics. Before joining BCLP, Justin spent a decade in the Washington, D.C. office of another international law firm.
