The Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) will require tens of millions of entities to file reports with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), a unit of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, starting as soon as January 1, 2024.

This webinar will explain why a bipartisan Congress ordered FinCEN to track the beneficial ownership of covered legal entities, and how to determine if your corporation, LLC, limited partnership, or other legal entity is one of them. We'll explain what a "reporting company" is, who its "beneficial owners" and "company applicants" are, what kind of information the entity must report to FinCEN about them, and the deadlines for filing such reports.

We'll also dive deeper into the CTA than other voices in the marketplace, examining whether anything can stop the CTA from taking effect—including challenges that FinCEN has had implementing it—and tracking which states are considering passing mini-CTAs for legal entities within their borders.
