Christopher Paul Galanek
Biography
Chris Galanek is a trial lawyer with extensive experience across commercial litigation matters and arbitrations involving business disputes, unfair competition, breaches of fiduciary duty, and employment disputes.
A significant portion of Chris’ practice focuses on claims arising out of employment relationships, including discrimination and retaliation claims, whistleblower claims, and wage disputes. For more than 25 years, he has litigated the enforceability of noncompetition and non-solicitation covenants and handled trade secret disputes in state and federal courts throughout the United States. Chris also frequently advises clients on protecting trade secrets, navigating post-employment restrictions, and competitive recruitment strategies.
In addition to his commercial litigation and employment work, Chris has represented clients in complex business disputes, wrongful death cases, and major mass tort litigation involving PFAS. His recent work also includes consumer class actions and class arbitrations for electronic payment processors and financial institutions; disputes between payment processors, ISOs, MSPs, and merchants; unfair competition and false advertising claims; and real estate and eminent domain disputes.
Chris is also well-versed in alternative dispute resolution, having participated in mediation and arbitration both as an advocate and as a neutral.
