Drew Robinson is counsel in the firm’s Real Estate team. He advises real estate investment trusts, developers, financial institutions, property managers, and other clients on a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, developments, leasing, and asset management matters.

Drew has experience across a variety of asset classes, including office, hospitality, industrial, retail, residential, healthcare, maritime, aviation, transportation, and mixed-use projects. He regularly negotiates and prepares purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, loan agreements, leases, organizational documents, and other agreements relating to the acquisition, financing, management, development, leasing, and construction of real estate assets. Drew also advises on real estate aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.

He also has experience advising on complex commercial and residential development projects, from due diligence through development close-out. Drew’s experience includes preparing and negotiating land use and construction agreements, easements, covenants, real estate-related legislation, and tax credit applications. He has worked with surveyors, planners, engineers, and other consultants to meet client needs, and represented clients before state and local boards and committees, including in administrative hearings and appeals.

Before entering private practice, Drew served as a law clerk to the Honorable Keith R. Truffer of the Circuit Court for Baltimore County. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where he served as a Staff Editor of the University of Baltimore Law Review. He also holds a B.A. in Military and Diplomatic History from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Drew was named Young Lawyer of the Year by the Bar Association of the District of Columbia in 2025. He is admitted to practice in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Virginia.
