Biography

Gianna is a member of the firm’s Business and Commercial Disputes Practice Group, as well as the Intellectual Property and Technology Disputes Practice Group.

Gianna received her J.D. from the Emory University School of Law. During her time as a law student, Gianna developed her advocacy skills and received recognition for this in different contexts. She won the Stange Award during her first year, a distinction of Emory Moot Court Society’s 1L Stange Competition that recognizes the overall best appellate brief and oral argument. She later competed on Emory’s Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition Team—winning Best Oralist Team and 2ndPlace Overall Team at the Southeast Regionals, and going on to win Second Place Oralist Team at the D.C. Nationals—and subsequently served as a coach, with a focus on trademark law. She received a scholarship for her performance during Emory’s Kessler-Eidson Trial Techniques Program, which focuses on development of trial advocacy skills. Following these experiences, Gianna was named to the Order of Barristers in 2024.

Additionally while in law school, Gianna gained experience working with technology innovators through Emory Law’s TI:GER program, and she worked as a research assistant in the area of intellectual property. She was a Pupil of The Hon. Charles Pannell, Jr. IP Inn of Court in Atlanta for two consecutive years, assisting with research and presentation on current topics in intellectual property law as well as participating in the Inn’s community service projects.

Gianna holds her B.F.A. and M.F.A. from Florida State University, joining the field of law following a professional career in the arts.
