Biography

Leif Olson focuses his practice on intellectual property matters, concentrating on patent litigation, patent prosecution, copyright litigation, unfair import (a.k.a., Section 337) investigations before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), and post-grant proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). He is a registered patent attorney with the USPTO. He has represented U.S. and international corporations, including multinationals and startups, in a wide array of technical fields, including metallurgy and material science, additive manufacturing / 3-D printing, solar cells and solar energy, chemistry and chemical compounds, and mechanical and electro-mechanical devices. He is recognized by Best Lawyers and Super Lawyers as one of the “Rising Stars” and “Ones to Watch” for his work in patent law.  

Prior to his legal career, Leif was a professional golfer on the PGA Tour.
