Peter Hansen is a partner in the firm’s Energy, Environment and Infrastructure practice group. He has more than 25 years of experience working with clients in the energy and natural resources sectors, including a decade of service as the General Counsel of ADA Carbon Solutions, LLC, in Littleton, Colorado. His experience as a member of an executive management team has provided him the opportunity and experience of working with senior leadership teams and boards of directors to manage operational activities, financings, merger and acquisition activities, and regulatory matters. As a 1995 graduate of the University of Denver College of Law who also earned an M.B.A. from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver that same year, Peter has provided a broad range of legal services to his clients in the Colorado and Rocky Mountain region for decades. Major projects and experience areas include:

• Sophisticated syndicated financings and bond issuances in a variety of industries, including oil and gas, mining, and telecommunications, and financings of sports arenas and surrounding entertainment districts.
• Tax credit monetization transactions under Section 29/45K of the Internal Revenue Code.
• Mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures.
• Representation of utilities in the acquisition of renewable generation assets, including build-transfer transactions. 
• Design and engineering agreements and construction contracts, including EPC contracts.
• A wide variety of complex commercial agreements and general transactional matters.
