Biography
Angelia Duncan is the managing partner of the firm’s Charlotte office. She is a commercial litigator whose practice focuses on a wide range of business and commercial disputes, internal investigations, and the advising of membership organizations.
Angelia advises regional and multi-national clients through all stages of complex commercial litigation and has managed nationwide pre-litigation and active litigation portfolios from the earliest stages of a dispute through trial. She frequently litigates claims before state and federal courts and alternative dispute tribunals across the country. Angelia also has extensive experience managing litigation and arbitration dockets for several global companies, spanning management of subpoena defense, internal matters, and contractual disputes.
In addition to her role as office managing partner, Angelia is a past co-chair of BCLP’s Lawyers of Color Affinity Group and sits on the firm’s U.S. Women’s Leadership Board and National Recruiting Committee.
Outside of the firm, she is committed to pro bono work and serving the community. She is a member of the Board of Trustees at Wingate University and serves on the Board of Visitors at Wake Forest University School of Law. She has volunteered the Cobb Justice Foundation assisting victims of domestic violence in obtaining protective orders and previously served on the Corporate Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Atlanta.
