In his practice, he has extensive experience representing real estate opportunity funds, institutional investors, family offices, operators, and developers in complex and varied real estate transactions. He has a broad base of knowledge in leading joint venture transactions covering multiple asset classes including office, retail, hotel, multifamily, and industrial.

As an experienced member of the U.S. real estate practice, with over two decades of substantive experience, Ian serves as a trusted advisor to a broad range of clients, guiding them through every stage of the investment lifecycle and delivering practical, business-oriented counsel from the inception of a transaction through its successful conclusion (and beyond).

Ian’s career has continually evolved, having spent the early part as a corporate generalist. This unique background allows him to approach complex matters with a comprehensive understanding of both legal and commercial considerations, delivering practical solutions that advance his clients' financial considerations and business objectives.
