Biography
Klaus Banke is a partner in our Corporate M&A team in Frankfurt. He advises national and international companies, financial investors and multinational groups on complex and frequently cross‑border corporate transactions. His work spans the full lifecycle of public and private M&A matters, including strategic acquisitions and divestments, joint ventures, carve‑outs, and significant corporate reorganizations.
Klaus also regularly counsels boards and senior management teams on corporate governance matters and represents clients in contentious situations arising from corporate transactions. His extensive transactional experience is complemented by a strong understanding of commercial drivers and sector‑specific dynamics.
With particular industry expertise in the energy and technology sectors, Klaus is well‑versed in advising clients operating in both rapidly evolving and regulated markets. He brings many years of experience in German‑French cross‑border transactions and has built a long‑standing network across both jurisdictions, enabling him to guide clients seamlessly through complex international mandates.
Before joining the firm, Klaus was a partner at international law firms in Frankfurt. He previously worked in New York and is admitted to the New York bar.
