AI and the current IP landscape in the UK

In the wake of Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's announcement of the establishment of the world's first AI Safety Institute and in advance of this week's Global AI summit at Bletchley Park, it is impossible to avoid addressing the question of the legal regulation of AI. The Prime Minister has said that the aim is not to regulate AI to stifle innovation but rather to encourage it, and so in the third episode of the Digital Speaks campaign, Associates Sasha Rubinstein and Amelda Henning discuss the regulation of AI systems from an intellectual property perspective, including addressing the crucial question: who owns the content generated by AI?
