BCLP advises AEW on financing of residential portfolio

BCLP advised AEW on securing a financing for a German residential real estate portfolio. The borrower is a newly established special fund focused on residential assets in Germany, with AEW acting as asset and investment manager.

The loan is, among other things, being used to partially finance a residential portfolio comprising four properties located in Berlin, Dresden, Düsseldorf, and Potsdam. The portfolio consists of more than 300 residential units with approximately 30,000 square meters of lettable space. The well-located properties, the majority of which were constructed after 2012, are almost fully let.

The transaction was led at BCLP by Partner Dr. Torsten Pokropp and Counsel Tony Sparing. The team also included Partner Frank Schwem and Senior Associate Katerina Diamantopoulou.
