Cross-office BCLP team advises Stifel on acquisition of German boutique M&A firm

International law firm BCLP advised long-standing client Stifel Financial Corp. in its recently announced agreement to acquire ACXIT Capital Partners, a German boutique M&A firm.

Stifel Financial Corp. is a financial services holding company headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri that conducts its banking, securities and financial services business through several wholly owned subsidiaries. ACXIT Capital Partners is a leading international corporate finance and financial advisory firm for mid-market clients and entrepreneurs in Europe and beyond.

Stifel executed a definitive agreement with the shareholders of ACXIT to acquire the firm. ACXIT has a team of around 50 bankers based out of offices in Frankfurt, Zurich and Munich and has been operating since 1999. This transaction will further increase Stifel’s investment bank presence in Europe.  The BCLP deal team, consisting of lawyers in the U.S. and Europe, was led by Partners Ryan Davis and Caitlin Hartsell (M&A), Cathryn Benedict (Tax) and Julia Schweitzer (Employment).
