Aaron Lapniewski’s practice largely centers around insurance and indemnification matters in traditional property, casualty, and professional and management liability lines as well as transactional risk matters. He negotiates and structures complex indemnification provisions on behalf of buyers and sellers and leverages transactional risk insurance policies as a component of the overall risk mitigation strategy. He represents clients throughout the entirety of the transactional risk insurance process including the negotiation, placement, and claims administration of these policies. Aaron likewise counsels both public and private corporations in indemnification, advancement, and insurance matters, including coverage evaluations, in response to or in anticipation of an investigation or litigation across the casualty and professional liability lines.

Not only committed to the success of his clients, Aaron is also invested in helping to foster a positive culture within BCLP. He is an active member of the global LGBTQ* Network and Lawyers Affinity Group, with fresh ideas for better internal engagement and community partnerships.

Prior to joining the firm, Aaron handled primary, excess, and reinsurance property, casualty, and professional liability claims at one of the world’s largest reinsurers. During his time in the industry, he developed a deep understanding of the workings of these policies and faced a variety of unique coverage and claim matters. Aaron brings this working knowledge of insurance carrier operations to each representation which allows him to respond effectively and strategically to each client’s unique needs.
