Biography

Mollie Harmon Moylan focuses her practice on construction-related transactions and construction industry disputes. Mollie handles negotiating and drafting all types of design and construction agreements and build-to-suit leases on behalf of project owners, developers and lenders. She has represented clients in the development and construction of a variety of projects, including manufacturing plants, multi-family housing projects, medical and educational facilities, resorts, hotels, and large multi-tenant retail complexes.

Mollie was a 2016 summer associate in the firm’s Kansas City office. She was a Davidson Scholar at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law where she earned a membership in the Order of the Barristers, served on the law review board, and was appointed a student emissary. Mollie was a regional winner and quarter-finalist in the AAJ National Mock Trial Competition.

  • Automated Distribution Center – Midwest U.S.: Represent food wholesaler in the procurement of engineering and construction services for a $200 million automated distribution center.
  • Hotel & Casino – Native American Territory: Represent federally recognized Indian tribe in procurement of design and construction services for a 1,000-room, casino, retail amenities and water park on a progressive design-build basis with a price exceeding $450 million. Lead competitive contract negotiations with multiple contractors as a key element of contractor selection.
  • Educational Facility – Missouri: Represent educational institution in connection with the procurement of design and construction services for a $50 million educational facility.
  • Dairy Processing Plant – Minnesota: Represent leading agribusiness in connection with design and construction of a $55 million plant expansion in Minnesota, including the preparation and negotiation of a design contract, a construction management at-risk contract and other construction-related agreements.
  • Oil Refinery Complex – Pennsylvania: Represent redevelopment firm in the procurement of demolition services for a former oil refinery complex with a price exceeding $200 million.
  • Multistate Fiber Optic Network - Southwestern U.S.: Represent digital infrastructure company in connection with the strategy, preparation and negotiation of engineering and construction contracts and entitlements for the development of 1,300 route miles of fiber optic network connecting major U.S. markets in California, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Texas.
