Biography

Vishnu is a technology and commercial lawyer who advises clients on a wide range of intellectual property, technology, and commercial matters. Vishnu’s diverse experience across Asia, Europe and North America enables him to approach cross-border legal issues with a unique international perspective, delivering commercially minded solutions for businesses operating on a global scale.

Commercial and Technology

Vishnu’s practice is focussed on the negotiation and structuring of complex technology and commercial transactions. Vishnu regularly advises clients on commercial agreements of various stripes including software and technology agreements, franchise and sponsorship agreements, R&D collaboration agreements and JVs, services agreements, as well as IP licensing arrangements.

Vishnu has a keen interest in emerging tech and AI-related legal issues, including data use, content licensing and IP protection.

Cross-Border Transactions

Vishnu also advises on the IP/IT aspects of cross-border transactions and carve-outs, including transitional services agreements. Vishnu’s international background allows him to approach cross-border transactions with a unique perspective, helping clients navigate nuanced IP issues arising in cross border transactions.

Prior Experience

Before joining BCLP, Vishnu worked at leading law firms in London and New Delhi, and at an AI technology company in the San Francisco Bay Area. Aside from his primary practice areas, his cross-jurisdictional experience spans IP disputes, IP enforcement and brand strategy, antitrust, privacy and consumer protection laws. This breadth of exposure equips Vishnu to address varied legal challenges in a fast-evolving marketplace.
